According to a report in the Express, the former Chelseamidfielder has signed an extension option on his current loan deal at the Etihad Stadium and will remain withManuel Pellegrini's team until the end of the 2014-15 Premier League season.
Lampard's initial City deal was due to expire on January 7, with the former England star then expected to join up with parent club, MLS side New York City FC - who are co-owned by the Premier League champions.
But after impressing during his time in Manchester the two parties agreed to extend the current deal which will see Lampard continue to earn £191,000-per-week, some £40,000 more than his highest ever Chelsea wage.
Lampard has scored four times in six league and cup appearances for City, but has been ruled out of Wednesday's Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.
